Report a death

We recognise that reporting the death of a crofter is a sensitive matter. This simple process will help you fulfil your legal responsibilities:

• Search for the croft: use the search box below to find the croft associated with the person who has died
• Select the name: choose the person’s name from the list linked to the croft

After you select the name, we will ask for the date of death, your contact details, and any information you have about the executors or agents managing the estate.
