Digital Applications

The Crofting Commission has a new digital application system that you can use to submit crofting applications or notifications. The digital system is faster, more secure, allows multiple parties to complete a form simultaneously and is better for the environment than the old paper system.

Here are some reasons why you should consider applying digitally:

  • The system ensures you include all the required information to help ensure your application does not need to be returned due to incomplete information.
  • Multiple people can complete different sections of the application at the same time.
  • You save money on postage costs and there is no risk of your application getting lost in the mail.
  • You can easily go back and edit your application before submitting it.
  • You can view the progress of your application through your online account.
  • You can make multiple applications and have them stored in one place.
  • You don't need to print any documents, which saves paper and is better for the environment.

To apply digitally, you will need to set up an account using your email address. There is a form finder integrated into the digital system that will help you find the correct application or notification type.

To log into the digital application portal please follow this link Online Applications | Crofting Commission (scotland.gov.uk)
