Creation of New Crofts and Common Grazings

If you are a landowner of a holding located anywhere in Scotland where Scottish Ministers have designated the area as being suitable for creating new crofts you can apply to create new crofts or common grazings.  

When considering an application to create new crofts or common the Commission will take account of any comments received following the advertising of the application by the Commission, the public interest and as the case may be the interests of the crofting community in the locality of the land; whether social or economic benefits might be expected as a consequence of so constituting it.
