Nominees Announced for Crofting Commission Elections 2022

The Returning Officer has today, Monday 31st January 2022, published the list of candidates who wish to stand in the 2022 Crofting Commission elections.

A total of 18 Candidates have put their names forward for election, pending final checks.

Speaking today Bill Barron, Chief Executive of the Crofting Commission said:

“It truly is heartening to see so many candidates putting their names forward for election. This year we will see contests in all six constituencies which is fantastic.”

Votes cast in the Crofting Commission elections will be counted on the 18th of March following a postal ballot.
