Return Your Crofting Commission Census

The Crofting Commission has today, Monday 28th of March 2022, reminded all crofters that they must return their Crofting Census by Thursday 31st of March 2022.
All Crofters have been sent a letter, with a link to an online form where they can return their census. The census is required to be completed each year.
Speaking today, Malcolm Mathieson, Convener of the Crofting Commission said:
“I’m urging all crofters who haven’t yet done so to complete their census form before the deadline on the 31st of March.”
“I cannot stress enough as to how important the information is that Crofters provide; it gives us clear evidence as a Commission to push for change. Without it policy, practice and procedures will not accurately reflect the reality of Crofting or empower us as a Commission to represent the sector.”
“Commission staff will be on hand to support Crofters who need a little help with completing the form, but for the vast majority of crofters the form will take just a few minutes to complete.”
