CROFTING COMMISSION TO HOLD SUCCESSION EVENT IN SUTHERLAND

The Crofting commission is to hold a drop in event in Sutherland, on Monday the 6th of November in Lochinver hall, to offer people support and information on the issue of Crofting Succession.

The free event, which will be open to all members of the public, will run from 5pm to 8pm. Members of staff from the Commission will be on hand to guide crofters on their options and the possibilities that are open to them if succession planning is put into place for their croft. They will also be joined by the Scottish Land Matching Service, the Farm Advisory Service and the resettlement team from Highland Council.

The event is part of a wider project to support Crofting Communities to plan for their future, which will see thousands of crofters across three pilot areas receive information packs to inform and support them.
