Common Grazings and Land Held Runrig Registration

The Crofting Reform (Scotland) Act 2010 requires the Keeper of the Registers of Scotland (RoS) to establish and maintain a public register of crofts, common grazings and land held runrig.

To date over 300 common grazings have been registered with RoS and we are currently engaging with a small number of in office common grazing committees and relevant landlords to progress the registration of their common grazings.

Enquiries about common grazing registration should be directed to grazings.register@crofting.gov.scot

High Volumes of Applications

We currently have a 4 week backlog of applications/enquiries, this is due partly to the high volume of correspondence received and some temporary staffing issues. As a result there will be a delay in acknowledging receipt of your application/answering your enquiry. Be assured that you will hear from us in due course and we appreciate your patience in the meantime.

If you have sent us an enquiry, have you checked our website or ROC Online to see if the answer is there?
