Crofting Commission keen to work with assessors

04/05/2017

The Crofting Commission Board met yesterday, 3 May.  The meeting was chaired by the Chief Executive, Bill Barron.

One key discussion was about the role of the Commission’s assessors and all were in agreement about their continued importance to the Commission.  It was agreed that Commissioners Billy Neilson, Cyril Annal, Iain MacIver and James Scott will meet with officials to consider what the future role of assessors should be and to develop plans for recruiting new assessors in spring 2018.

The Board also agreed revisions to the standing orders, and considered drafts of the Chief Executive’s Action Plan on governance and of the 2017-18 business plan.
